Operant conditioning
I think that one of my favorite consepts that we have learned this year in Psychology is Operant conditioning. I think that it is one of the most common concepts used in society. Most people use this concept without even knowing exactly what it is. Operant conditioning is learning in which a voluntary response is strengthened or weakened based upon its favorable or unfavorable response. Alot of parents do this with their children. Awarding a child for getting good grades or punishing them for bad ones. another common use of operant conditioning is trainging a dog. giving the dog a treat when it does something good or scolding him when he does something bad are both examples of this concept.

Classical condition
In this blog I am going to discuss classical conditioning. One of the most basic examples of classical conditoning is when a student is in grade school or high school they knew that they were done with class. When I was in high school fifth and sixth periods where cut in half for students to have lunch. I had lunch sixth period and class fifth period. the bell would ring halfway through the periods to let the students know that they were going to lunch. during my fifth period when I had a full class period the bell would ring to let the kids know to go to lunch and I would be conditioned to leave class when I heard the bell ring. this would cause me to constantly get up and start to leave halfway through my full class period.
macgyver was the best problem solver in the world. Everyone solves problems in different ways. The way someone solves a problem is based on their personality. Problem solving is around us everywhere. In my personal life I encounter many different problems within one day. everything I do has a problem somewhere in it. Whether its doing homework or driving or even playing veideo games. I think that the most common problem I encounter is time management. I think that when everyone wakes up in the morning the find the problem of trying to figure out how they are going to get everything done in one day.

Flag pole locked
Last month county commissioner proposed to take down the confederate flagpole that hung in front of the court house in Eastman Georgia. there was a closed door meeting held to decide. the vote was three to one in favor of keeping the flag flying. There were people who were upset by this decision and made threats that they would go to the courthouse and take the flag down and burn it. the judge decided that there needed to be a padlock put on the flagpole so no one would be able to take it down.

I think that it is morally wrong to keep this flag flying. it is racist. everyone knows what that flag stands for and i think that there should be a law against them hanging in front of any government buildings. it is ok for citizens to have them up they have every right to do it. The government, however should not be able to voice any opinion about the matter. what do you think?

NFL lockout
The NFL has been in a long dispute with its players. the dispute reached a new level this year when the United States judicial system got involved in the matter. After a long back and forth between both sides there has been a lockout of all NFL players. In order to try and make sure there is a league there has been a three week cushion put into place so no games will be missed during the season. some people think this is unnecessary because there is going to be a league.

I think that there is no point in doing this either because i think there is going to be a league. too much money will be lost for both sides of the case in order for them to shut the league down. do you think there will be a league?

Air Traffic Control
There have been three air traffic contol employees found asleep on the job. these employees are working the midnight shift when they are the only ones inside the control room. the cases are not all in the same airport they have been found accross the nation. one of the employees that was found sleeping actually had a blanket and pillow in the control room which shows that he has done this on many different occasioins.

recently there has been new rules put into place stating that employees must have nine hours inbetween each shift. I think that this is a good idea. there are more things that could be done to trya nd stop this incident from happening again. I think that shifts need to be split into six hours shifts. I know that it sounds bad because peoples hours will be cut but I think that it will require people to work more often becuase their shifts will be shorter.

High tech Apps
People are always trying to avoid the police. noone wants to get a speeding ticket or get caught by a street camera running a red light. there are some of those idiots out there who decide to drink and drive and they do not want to get pulled over either. well there is an app for that. A new application mad to be downloaded on smartphones will tell you exactly where a street camera is or where a cop usually sits on the side of the road with a radar gun. It will even tell you where a DUI checking point is located. the applications gets it's information from a website where anyone can log on to and update the site about where they know law enforcement will be.

I do not think this is right even though no one likes to get tickets that doesnt mean we should be allowed to avoid the police. it is their job to make sure everyone is safe. it is not right for a drunk driver to be able to look at their cell phone and see which way they should go to get home without getting caught it is morally wrong.
